The club is pleased to announce the signing of Fijian International Alvin Singh. Singh, is the final exciting piece to an extremely successful off season and a potentially successful 2017 Premier League campaign. Singh comes to the club with immense pedigree having been capped for Fiji over 20 times, including being selected as one of three over age players for Fiji at the recent Olympics held in Rio, Brazil. Singh is no stranger to the spotlight and high expectations having also competed at the highest level in international club football having represented Hekari United at the FIFA World Club Cup.

With the club having acknowledged that the team needed improvement in certain areas, especially in defence club President Tony Raciti is thrilled to have secured the highly sought after signature of the Fijian International “Once again it goes to show how highly respected the name of APIA is, Alvin could’ve signed for any number of clubs in the league but he chose APIA. After last seasons poor performance we knew where we needed to strengthen and we targeted those players.

We signed an excellent Goal keeper, we needed a proven goal scorer and we signed one of the best in the business and we needed to strengthen our defence which we did with Josh Symons and when Alvin was available we signed him as well, the balance of our team is now very good and hopefully Alvin is the final piece to the puzzle”.
Singh, is a fierce, tenacious and strong tackling central defender who will wear the number 6 jersey for the upcoming season.
